.jpg) No-one Needs to Stand Alone It is our desire to give everyone who calls Carruthers Creek their church home the opportunity to experience genuine Christian community in some form of small group. “We believe that getting connected with a few others in a healthy small group is one of the best things we can do for our walk with God!” The biblical pattern described in the book of ACTS shows believers regularly connecting with each other both in the Temple courts and in one another’s homes. At C4 we encourage people to gather together with the whole church for worship and celebration, and also in smaller groups for deepening our relationships with one another and enriching our walk with God.
| Knowing What | “A small group is an intentional, face-to-face gathering of a limited number of people on a consistent schedule with the purpose of discovering and growing in an abundant life in Christ.” Our small groups are caring communities which involve between three to twelve people, and meet in homes usually once every two weeks. | | Knowing Why | Why is being part of a small group such an important aspect of a healthy Christian life? The answer comes from understanding the four components of small group life: *Loving one another, *Learning with one another, *Serving with one another, *Reaching out to others. A balanced small group gives group members an opportunity to live out the “one another” commands of Christian community described in the Bible. | | Knowing How | Are there different types of small groups available at C4? Yes, there are a variety of group options at Carruthers Creek. We have groups for men, women, couples, whole families, age-based groups, interest-based groups, support groups, and a variety of ministry groups. How can I get connected? Simply fill out a Small Group Interest Form at the Information Center in the foyer. One of our Area Coordinators will contact you soon after to help you make a connection with a suitable group. You may contact the church office (905-686-4450) or by email at smallgroups@carrutherscreek.ca. |
